Myer Christmas Windows

According to all of Melbourne’s papers and tonight’s television news, Myer might be sold off. Some business experts believe new owners might cash in on the Myer buildings in the city, and redevelopment would therefore be an option.

What would it mean? A new face for Burke Street Mall, and the end of Melbourne’s Myer Windows.

    I don’t live in Melbourne, but I come every year just to see the windows. What happened to keeping a little bit of tradition in our lives. Everything else seems to change so rapidly. Let’s keep this oldie going.

    I’ve lived in the UK for 7 years now, but I still look forward to the Myer Christmas windows.

    We all remember being little kids in our dressing gowns taken into the city very late at nigh (2am even) to see the windows.
