One of the presents I want for Christmas

Is a stuffed toy from the Build a Bear Workshop. It was an American phenomenon. I was in America the first time I saw such a workshop. The basic idea is to build your own stuffed toy.

First, you pick your toy, whether its a teddy bear, a rabbit or a monkey, its your choice. Then you can choose to add a sound in his palm. Following along, you get to stuff it. You can choose to stuff the toy really hard, so its no longer a soft cuddly toy or have it semi-stuffed to resemble the amount of ‘cuddleness’. Then, one gets to vacuum it. The store calls it brushing but I prefer to call it vacuuming. Then next step is to choose a name so that a birth certificate can be printed for the bear and finally one get to play dress-up! They have all sorts of costumes for the toys, from underpants to firesuits to scouts and guides.

I’ll never get enough of the store. There is one in Highpoint right now, and everytime I’m there, I will always have to visit the store.
