Crowded trains in the mornings

I realised the trains are more crowded these days, especially in the mornings. Not only were the people packed like sardines, it felt as if oxygen was slowly being sucked out of the carriages too. The carriages were usually cool and comfortable in the mornings but of late, they have become really stuffy and hot. Has the train company decided to turn off the air-conditioning or something?

Just imagine what the carriages will be like during the commonwealth games …

I remember last year getting on a train, not realising a footy match had just finished. It was already ten minutes late, and I would’ve thought it was full. But they kept it in the station another twenty minutes, piling people in.

I’m considering staying inside during the Games.

I remember reading in the mX that Connex is expecting a 30% increase in commuters, but a 10% decrease in daily commuters (since school students have holidays).

I wish the games were in Sydney.

I agree, I don’t think that connex is going to cope with the Commonwealth games. I can’t see there being a decrease in commuters, as the roads into the CBD will be closed, the usual car drivers are being forced to take public transport.

But nevertheless, I have taken a couple of weeks off and am really looking forward to the Games in Melbourne.
