Krispy Kreme (in Melbourne, for real!)
I don’t know how many of you have tried Krispy Kreme (KK) doughnuts but it’s just darn good. And they’re arriving in Melbourne…. and its not just their promotional stunt.
Visiting their store openings site, the PDF in question is what you’re after. Its opening at 06.30am on Thursday 22nd June, 2006. However, there’s entertainment at 6pm on the 21st of June, so maybe folk want to skip going to work or pulling an all nighter.
Besides getting to Westfield Fountain Gate, in Narre Warren by car, you can get to the Zone 3 location via the Narre Warren train station, and then take the 828 bus towards Hampton to get to the shopping center. Let’s hope those directions are correct :-)

Having had the joys of enjoying KK at their various outlets in NSW (I love the one in Liverpool cos they seem to give out free donuts just as quick as they make ‘em!), I was stoked that they’re finally opening up in Melbourne. After being told by exasperated infomation counter staff at both QV and Melbourne Central that no, there is no KK opening there, I’m thinking I might have to do the long trek to Fountain Gate for my original glazed and lemon filled. :P

ohh I love Krispy Kreme .. they are the best .. the best sweet donuts in town man .. awesome
Damn are the buses in that area confusing. Route 840 (which also goes from Narre Warren Stn to Fountain Gate) is a circular route, the destination in both directions is Berwick.
They are the best donuts ever. BUT, I have tried to buy them twice, sunday and monday and the queue is insane! 2 hour wait for drive thru??? WTF!!
So I’m off to try my luck at midnite!
