Australia vs Japan match tonight

The match is tonight, TONIGHT! I’m so excited! For those heading down to Federation Square, please don’t forget a thick coat, hat and mittens, its going to be bloody cold, unless you plan to do a lot of jumping around and yelling. Sleeping bag might not be such a bad idea.

So, what will your excuse be for being late for work tomorrow morning? I’ve been trying to think of a few of them which I thought I’ll share with everyone…
1. The fog was really thick this morning and traffic became really slow and heavy on the freeway, therefore I’m a couple of hours late.

2. My child’s teacher and prinicipal wanted to speak to me about bullying and I was detained for a long time while dropping off my child.

3. There were a lot of speed cameras this morning so traffic was really really slow.

4. It was so cold this morning the radiator of my car was iced over.

5. I had to fix my parents hot water system this morning before coming to work. There are really old and can’t survive at home without hot water. (Similarly for heating)

6. The train was indefinitely delayed this morning.

What do you think?

The atmosphere will surely be intense tonight at Fed Square, but why go when it is cold and freezing and public transport will not be operating past 12:30 in the morning. I prefer to sit in my lounge room confortably and enjoy the match.

I thought everyone had today off? If you want to watch it with a crowd, go to a pub and stay warm.
