So it’s cheaper/safer to take a cab then?

So there’re thousands of unregistered cars in Victoria running around the roads, flying under the noses of VicRoads and speeding under the drowsy peepers of Victorian cops.

Why pay so much for a bloody sticker?

Correct me if i’m wrong (foreigner here!), but depending on the year and condition of the car, a car rego can cost anything from several hundred to over a thousand dollars. And cars in Victoria are incredibly cheap. I can’t understand the rationale of paying a $900 rego if your car’s worth only $2800. Simply ridiculous.

In spite of their high costs, I’ll take a cab from now on. I’d rather have an empty pocket than run the police gauntlet.

So glad I don’t have a car…Could this be an incentive by the government to take public transport or ride bicycles. I cant imagine paying rego, car maintenance, petrol, and insurance. It would send me broke.
