Not exactly a house visit, but a nurse is just a phone call away for Victorians! A new initiative by the Victorian Government, the nurse on call program provides access to a registered nurse by telephone, 24 hours a day, for health advice and information.

The service, provided by McKesson Asia-Pacific, runs similar services in other states and territory. Useful? I guess. If someone is feeling unwell, and not sure if they should seek medical attention immediately or wait til morning, or maybe worried about medication for example could use this facility. Or one could call just to find out about health services within an area or for health related information.
