I see talking bus shelters…
Well, seems like we will be be doing more than just waiting for buses at bus shelters VERY soon.
It seems that the radio station Nova has decided to put ‘hypertags’ on posters of Hughsey, Kate and Dave (morning hosts). If you have a mobile phone, or a device that is bluetooth/infared abled, then you can hold it up to the poster, and Hughsey, Kate and Dave will send funny snippets to your mobile, like video, audio, images, etc.
Of course, this has been distributed only in the CBD by Adshel bus shelters.
I can’t think of anything more silly myself – who wants to clog up their mobile phone with breakfast radio? But then again, I’ve never gotten into people talking on the radio – play the music already!
But, if you are so inclined to hear Hughsey talking about his bowel movements – run to a CBD Adshel bus shelter in the next few months!
I saw a similar one down the street. I think it was for coke. You had to put your phone up to it and it sent you something. I don’t have an IR or bluetooth port on my phone so I couldn’t try it out. Maybe they could send something useful like the next Tram/Train/Bus arrives at….
Imagine, one day, you will be having a conversation with a bus/train/tram stop.
