Weather Station in the city

weather station

on the corner of Spring Street and Lonsdale Street, next to the Royal exhibition park, right next to the royal society of victoria is this small fenced off area of grass. on close inspection, one can notice the weather measuring equipment. not sure if its for the royal society or the city, or both!

    This is the official Bureau of Meteorology weather station for Melbourne. So when the weather report gives the day’s max/min temp, rainfall, humidity, pressure reading etc. it all comes from this little patch of land at the north end of the city…
