A gal pal and I did a bit of power accessory shopping over the weekend, we popped into and out of so many places….one of our stops was a fav treasure trove, Christine, ahh - if only miz Barro would take us on her shopping trips, it would be divine!

As we walked up the stairs powering onto stop number 21 (it felt like it - luv u honey, we make a good power shoppin pair!) I heard a phone ringing…not some polyphonic ringtone, but an old skool “Brrrriiinnnggg brrrriiinnnggg”.

Beautifully framed at the top of the stairs was the lane across. I remember attending the opening of this and I’d completely forgotten it was there. Ooops.

No Answer is the uberkind of the incredibly versatile and talented Philip Brophy and Martine Corompt and has been installed in Lush Lane as part of the City of Melbourne’s fantastic Laneway Commissions 2006.

We Melbournians do love a good laneway…..and a bit o art, we do.
