Supper Inn
had a bit of a birthday dinner at supper inn for about 15 people. you have to call ahead, and they are the only resturant i think that can get away with setting a time limit for your meal. also, i don’t know what’s with the long medievel tables. isn’t it suppose to be a chinese resturant? where are the round tables! its hard to get everyone interacting when its just 1 long rectangle. its hard to get to the food too. had to order double of everything, which was just about right for 15 people anyway i guess. service attitude was a bit abrupt too. but like i said, the only place that can actually get away with that sort of thing. its kind of like an “unspoken understanding”, as The Age Good Food Guide 2006 puts it:
score 13/20 “There’s an unspoken contract between diner and restaurant when eating at this hallowed Chinatown institution. Diners will not complain if they have to wait on the staircase for a table. They will not complain if, after being seated, they are moved once, twice, or even three times during their meal to accommodate the burgeoning crowds.”
