The Royal Melbourne Show

As a heads-up, the Royal Melbourne Show will be starting this Thursday (September 21st). It goes on right till October 1st, and its probably going to be a great time of fun. Just over three more days before it starts!

It seems this year, the tickets have gone up in price - its $22 for an adult now. If you gather a group of ten adults (minimum of ten tickets), its $18, but the catch is bookings close on the 20th (right, so plan your trip). Refer to the Show’s ticket details.

Keep in mind that there are daily themes, and there’s even going to be live bands at night. All in all, it would seem like a lot of fun for all. Taking children along? Buy some showbags. They’ve never let me down :-)

More importantly, the Myki has been debated about in today’s discussions, and they’re having their Discovery Centre at the Showgrounds.

Yes, and make sure you take the tram to the show, fare-evading style.

Yeah but does it cost more for international students? Otherwise I wont be going. I have to go to work anyway (I’m so tough;I work 25+ hours a week and study full time and live off baked beans, I’m dead hard) and work on my campaign to become minister of transport so that I can change the world. I’m going to post my campaign launch on this blog this week so I hope all you guys vote for me. I promise to change the ticketing system to one that is based on a mindscan device that identifies your income, occupation, country of origin and debits your account accordingly.

So no Melbourne show for me this year. No, better that I just stay at home on my broadband (I’m totally stealing nextdoors unsecure wireless net, cause I’m such hacker with no money) and bitch about everything I can think of because, you know, I have it so tough and I want everybody else to know because they obviously have it better than me and they need to hear my bitching. Its safer indoors anyway (I live in fear of other students) and besides I’m so high up here on my soap box I don’t think I could get down without BASE jumping off.

Anyway i’ll finish up now, before some other very poor students start making mocking posts about me.

Grace, if you did ask last week, this might’ve been the perfect excuse for me to go. I sadly missed this years show, had other things to do…
