Earth from Above @ Melbourne

The World from Above

This may be a little late. But “Earth from Above” - an exhibition of Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s 120 aerial pictures, is now in town. The exhibition takes place at Federation Square, just right next to the Yarra. And it’s free.

The topic of the photos in the exhibition mainly surrounds environment and sustainable development.

I first encountered Arthus-Bertrand’s pictures last year via Sunday Age’s complimentary magzines and it amazed me at once. But watching them big in front of you is a totally different story, and they just amazed me once again last night, with a much huge-r impact.

It’ll be move to Sydney in Januyary 2007. So there’ll be some time before you miss it, but don’t get too comfortable and think “hmm, I still have lots of time” - that’s how I missed the Piccaso Exhibition!
