Do you smell smoke?

bushfires.jpgHmm…about an hour ago I started smelling smoke. Not the “Oh Shit, the house is on fire” smoke but the smell of a fireplace. Well, just looked outside and there appears to be a thin layer of smoke outside. It appears that the smoke from the bush fires northwest of Melbourne is being swept towards the city due to the high wind. If its like this in the city, I can’t imagine how bad it is near the fires.

The fires seem to be everywhere at the moment. We’re coping it in the Blue Mountains too. Good luck to you all.

Yeah i’m in Brunswick and the stench of burning, putrid flesh was really strong late in the evening. I stepped out into the balconey for a smoko at 2am and the smell was in the air.
