hi guys.

just a friendly reminder for everyone to keep their houses secure at all times this holiday period. 2 metrobloggers (neil and me) have already been hit and they guys stole my camera, laptop, watch AND DIGNITY while i was at home sleeping. so even if you’re just taking a nap, be sure to lock your balcony doors.

    Being robbed is not fun.
I had about 10 years worth of U2 collection stolen. i’ve never recovered from it.

Tip: when leaving the house, ALWAYS close blinds and curtains, etc. If an opportunistic person is scoping around, they are less likely to hit your place, if they can’t see what you’ve got.

Ronny and I live within a few blocks from each other in Carlton. Apparently burglary and theft are very prevalent in this area especially with all the students around.

We got robbed a few weeks ago. The guy scaled my rear fence, climbed up 2 stories up a drainpipe, shimmied open a very small window (which didn’t have a lock) and went through a couple of our rooms. The guy went through everything including jewellery and only took an old Ipod.

I guess the lesson is to lock everything including the most unlikely places.

    OMG fair dinkum!

Well my sympathies to y’all. Yeah no doubt them robbers think us students are loaded and easy prey. I live on the 1st floor and i thought i was safe! I’ll definitely draw my blinds and perform preventive measures.

And btw, i’m pretty sure it’s ‘you and i’?

I’v had a smiliar experience and it aint fun esp when they take your wallet, didnt really care about the money although im sure $1500 could have brought my mum her birthday present fo’shore, but it’s like you gotta cancel cards and usually means you gotta take time off work/uni to go sort it all out, so yeah it’s f**ked.
