I have always been a big fan of IMAX movies. The first time I saw an IMAX movie, I remember saying to myself, “Wow if they could only show all movies like this”. I find myself 13 years later saying the same thing.

IMAX Melbourne usually doesn’t get any popular or full length movies such as the Matrix or Star Wars. I have no idea why and I have posted before my doubts that this theater makes any money. Finally, IMAX Melbourne have pulled their head out of the ground and are now showing Open Season 3D. It’s a ninety minute movie featuring the voices of Martin Lawrence, Ashton Kutcher and other big name celebrities. The movie is not as good as other animated movies such as Shrek or Ice Age but it’s a surreal experience seeing Open Season in 3D. Just like most IMAX movies this will probably be playing for the next 3 years.
