Best sushi deal in Melbourne!

There are two sushi rolls (one salmon avocado and one tuna) and a miso soup – guess how much they cost?

I have found this really awesome sushi place in city. It’s on The Causeway – the lane way that connects Bourke and Lt Collins, and between Swanston and Elizabeth Street. The place is called the Sushi Monger and it’s directly opposite to Laurent.

Sushi Monger is owned by a Japanese couple. I think. All the staff in the store is very very polite. And by polite, I am referring to the real Japanese level of politeness – which is really really really polite. They have more variations of sushi – like tuna – which is actually quite common, but not that popular among Melbourne’s sushi shops.

I believe they also take special orders. (When I approach them, the girl asked me if there is anything I want that is not available on display, again, very politely.)

Their sushi is really valuable – they have huge chunks of salmon and tuna, not like most of the other sushi shop, which rice makes up 85% of the sushi roll.

Oh, and I still haven’t said how much the two rolls and the miso soup are, right? They cost me 5 bucks. And if you need more than 2 rolls, the combo for 3 rolls and miso soup costs $6.8.

You have to mention the level of politeness here.

Genuine Japanese politeness is not to be confused with general Asian politeness. The Japanese level of politeness goes beyond reason; such is the politeness and graciousness that each Japanese bestows upon friends or strangers you’d feel weird not to reciprocate their politeness! In this case, bow!
