Bong… off?

Collect em’ now folks, cos’ it seems like the Howard Government are putting out a ban to stop stores selling bongs. Mull smoking, - is linked to mental illness - it both intensifies it, and brings it on in some people. Apparently, this has just come to light in a ‘landmark report’ this week (accoring to the Herald Sun today) But my friends and I have known about these effects for ages… so I dunno what that’s all about…
I think it’s stupid to stop selling bongs for one main reason - the internet. You can log on and find info on how to make a home made bong anywhere on the net, and all you need basically is hose and an empty plastic bottle.
So - what you guys reckon’? To bong or not to bong on? (By this I don’t mean - to smoke or not to smoke - I just mean, do you think they should be banned or not… now my ending isn’t so cool, but I thought I better make that clear…)

I think Australia might be going the way the US has with drug related paraphernalia. Tommy Chong, of the famous movie, Cheech and Chong was jailed for 9 months in 2003/4 for selling bongs.
The Wikipedia article is quite interesting:

Chong agreed to plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute drug paraphernalia in exchange for non-prosecution of wife, Shelby, and his son.
dewd you can build a bong with a coke can and a pen in about ten seconds with a carb hole! This hypocriitical bull has got to end what’s with them, I am licensed byb my state and the medical community here to toke what do they say to that? I buy herb from the local co-op they buy it from the licensed growers here. You get a cash register receipt with barcode and everything it is totally legal for chronic pain sufferers & the like. Why don’t the feds just back off while they got well enough alone? We the people of the state object to rampant federalism in govt! Go sell F-35’s!!!
I’m pissed off at any kind of regulation or control over our lives. I don’t use bongs, but why the hell do I have the right to tell other people that they cannot ?
