Smoke or Smog

The entire city is sinking under the cover of smog today. I walked out of my place and the smell of smoke can choke any asthmatic sufferers. According to The Age, some businesses are allowing their employees off work due to health concerns.

I looked up the EPA for their hourly air quality bulletin and it is going from poor to very poor as the day progresses.

For me, I am staying in.

    Wangaretta has 430 PM10 smokey air compared to Melbourne’s 181. Wow, it must be unbearable up there.

    Contrast this to the rain in Singapore. Read the previous post for an update.

    Incessant rain for 3 days, or weeks of haze? I don’t know…i’m just glad i’m somehow inextricably linked to both cities.
