U2 films music video in Melbourne

u2.jpgLast week I made a post about movies filmed in Melbourne. Well, apparently U2 recently filmed their concert in IMAX format and filmed a music video over here.

The new single from U218 Singles, Window In The Skies had its video clip filmed down at the Corner Hotel in Richmond. The 300+ patrons all signed confidentiality agreements, and the filming also took place inside the band room and on the famed beer garden roof.

There was only a few seconds worth of all the filming used in the video clip. the shots appear towards the end of the clip, and show the band members hiding in the crowd

The Imax thing was done by director Richard Lowenstein. Was started during the South American Leg but more footage was needed(especially crowd shots), therefore using Melbourne… Will be interesting to see
