Nike Melbourne Closed

a bit slow to be reported perhaps but after 8 years the landmark city meeting place, nike’s flagship store in australia, nike melbourne, has closed!

nike melbourne closed

the old nike melbourne

the old nike melbourne

now i guess when we need a meeting spot, we’ll all meet at “the old nike melbourne place”.

i wonder what’s going to replace it. who would’ve thought a nike shop had the ability to close down. those dudes throw money like it don’t mean nothing…

Funny! I was going to check it out the other day & kind of walked into a construction scene. I just thought they were refurbishing, or something…

I wonder what’ll go in next?! It’s such a huge space & totally prime real estate. Excitinggggg.

you will continue to see the nike brand in your favourite magazines, on tv…..

makes you wonder what sort of wankers nike products appeal to?

Big Krispy Kreme store, Starbucks, a huge sports bar maybe. I haven’t been in there nor do I know anyone who has. Nike products are good although expensive but a huge store of Nike products, Im not suprised they closed down. Just as I couldn’t understand how Daimiru (The old Melbourne Central) stayed open so long.

word is it’s going to be a telstra flagship/concept store.

Nike pulled the pin because their “rent assistance” dried up and the rent was seemingly running to millions a year.

its a shame, but what the hey – there are two adidas stores and a puma store to distract ourselves with
