Good Friday Appeal
Do not forget this year’s Good Friday Appeal. It is a fund raising activity for the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. The money raised is used to aid children with life threatening illnesses and to ensure they receive the best possible medical care.
On the day, there are usually many activities, organised by various communities to raise money. Notably are the two houses that will be auctioned off on the day. And my favourite is the Cadbury Easter Picnic that will be held at the mansion at the Werribee Park. There is usually a huge easter egg hunt, which will be great fun for both children and adults.
Channel 7 will be holding their usual daylong telethon, which will be televised from Melbourne’s Telstra Dome. Over 10 million dollars were raised last year and I hope we can do better this year!
