Are you a greeny, liberal, labor or don’t know?

Politicians are great BS artists. It takes immense concentration and research to find out what each candidate up for election is about. As Australia has mandatory voting, somehow I doubt that everyone actually puts hours of research into voting for their candidate of choice. If it were only as easy as filling in a check box of what you are for and against, then we would actually have some good political leaders.

Ozpolitics has done that and created a “Test your political inclinations” test. Neil is apparently 75.7% ALP and 72.7% DEM which basically makes me centred in my policies.

You know what’s strange? As a foreigner, International Student and a cash cow, I am ineligible to vote. Yet my mailbox is inundated with voting packages come voting time.

If the Howard government wants my vote so much, he had better sat up and asked himself if he likes being treated like a third class citizen in a country that promotes her education so aggressively in foreign countries as far as Norway and such.

    Screw you Johnny.

I’ll take the test now :O

That ‘citizen-initiated referendum’ sounds like a good idea - when you think about how much it costs to hold an election, you may as well gather as much info as you can from people while you’re at it.

But hey, I should shut my mouth. Being a Kiwi I can’t vote. Shame, they let Aussies vote in NZ…

This poll is totally bogus. Its very narrow minded and measures everything as being either left wing or right wing, which are pretty poor definitions, and then matches you to your closest political party even if you disagree with many of its policies.

What about people who believe in small government and liberty ? It labels them as centre right, and says that they have right wing social values ?!

Even if you approve gay marriage, the legalisation of marijuana, it says you are right wing, just because you don’t support the left-wing policies like public injecting rooms.
