Dylan Moran at the Melbourne Comedy Festival
On Saturday I was at the annual Melbourne Comedy Festival seeing Dylan Moran (creator/actor of Black Books… he’s the one who looks like Neil Gaiman (Neil Gaiman being that awesome author who looks like Dylan Moran)), who I absolutely love.
On stage he’s a lot like his character in Black Books, he has this ridiculously over-the-top cynical dark humour (if thats not a contradiction in terms), and gives you the impression that he’s coming up with a lot of his lines on-the-spot.
Last year I saw Bill Bailey (who’s apparently not down here this year), also known from Black Books; a very philosophical and musical comedian who, like Dylan Moran, is very easy to fall in love with.
What shows have other people been seeing at the comedy festival? Who would you recommend, and why?
