Birrarung Marr Ferris Wheel
As I was catching a tram into the city last Friday night, I noticed an enormous well lit ferris wheel. After a bit of researching, this wheel is apparently the largest travelling ferris wheel in the southern hemisphere. For $7, you can ride the Giant Sky Wheel for 10 to 12 minutes and get a great view of the city.
Some wheel highlights:
- 216 persons passenger capacity
- 50m peak clearance
- 45m diameter
- 300,000 LED lights!
- Open until midnight on weekends
