A Flicking Good Night

I have a chuckle every time I see this billboard outside Melbourne Central. I’m surprised no one has complained about it but maybe I am just reading into it a bit too much.

Back in my high school days, the students managed to get approval for a “SCHOOL FLICKFEST” and put posters up everywhere. The lettering made it perfect.

With ads also telling you to go to their 3 spot, I don’t think you are reading too much into it at all…

My old pool has a sign in a hidden back area that says “no flicking towels.” Years of school swimming carnivals ensured that the “li” became joined together.
Also, in our common room at school, there is a GIANT sign that says “It’s Okay to Pick Up!!”, but a well placed piece of paper makes it okay to f*** up. Happy days.
