The AFC Asian Cup 2007
I don’t know how many follow soccer, but there was a great match a while ago, with Thailand vs. Australia. We whopped them, with a 4-nil score (Socceroos come good to advance). This I guess is better than the 3-1 beating we took against Iraq!
Sadly, the Asian Cup doesn’t seem to be broadcast on free to air TV… Fox Sports 2 has it live though.

Just sad that you had to mention that; the magnitude of the crime that is not following soccer just amazes me.

Unfortunately, your life is worst than mine coz you follow THE inferior sport.
huh? soccer, the inferior sport? pfft
Does anyone know a good pub/restaurant to watch the Asian cup in/near the city? I watched a couple of the games in Crown, surely there must be a better place (atmosphere)?
I’ve been searching the net for days looking for the answer to that question “Where is a venue with atmosphere that is guaranteed to have the Asian cup on?”. I went to the Mt Erica Hotel in Prahran for the Japan v Australia game but the staff seemed reluctant to change to the cup channel despite 80% of the patrons being there to watch the match. Now they have cancelled the telecasts of the Asia cup all together ‘cos guess what..Australia is not playing! Some of us in Australia actually want know what is going on in the world..whether it be news or sport…there must be a venue out there that is dedicated to providing an alternative to AFL. Hope I find it before 2010…!!
