A hurricane in Melbourne!

Was in St Kilda beach last Tuesday morning at 5am. Wanted to get some awesome morning shots.

When the sun began to come up, I spotted what looked like a hurricane forming right in the middle of the St Kilda area. Okay, don’t get too excited. No hurricanes attacked Melbourne. But it did look like it to me for several moments. Probably some non-environment friendly exhaust from a factory.

Going off topic, what’s the deal with these two bus-stop like shelters? The road’s too narrow for a two-way traffic. Or is this a refuge for rain-drenched anglers?

Off topic again, does anyone know what the name of this restaurant/cafe is? It’s a very famous lighthouse that has been converted to a cafe or something. Too cold that morning, didn’t occur to me. The breakfast crew was really nice to me, allowing me access to the restroom coz my bladder was busting for a big pee even though they weren’t opening for awhile. A 1 Degree morning chill does that to you!

(nerd) Actually, that’d be a tornado, rather than a hurricane; hurricanes are the massive low pressure systems that span hundreds of kilometres and destroy parts of Florida and Louisiana.(/nerd)

    I like the pictures.

    Maybe it was a fire?

LOL. I’d always known there was a difference. Just never nerdish enough to check it up.

    Btw, for the HTML-challenged, it’s & .

Damnit, the brackets didn’t show up. I understand why you used the rounded brackets.

I used to go to that cafe every now and then, nice place. It burned down not so long ago, but they rebuilt it to more or less the same plans (which kind of freaked me out when I drove past it after it had been rebuilt… I was like, didn’t that place burn down?). I think it’s just known as the St Kilda Pier Kiosk.
