Speaking of the AFL Final, I read with great interest on the Geelong ‘revolution’ – the city, the club and the general outlook of the residents – in today’s The Age. I can definitely identify with the ‘second best’ and heartbreak that all Geelong fans feel; I’m a proud Leeds United Football Club supporter for 13 years now and I see a lot of similarities with GFC and LUFC.

Was also reading it as I’m keen on purchasing property in Geelong for investment. But I digress.

I don’t follow Australia handball (suck it up Metblog readers, I’ll always mock footy:O ), but I’ll definitely be rooting for Geelong for a win this weekend.

A must-see part of Fringe Festival is Small Revolutions at Federation Square. It is a free event, located inside the white dome behind the info centre. I was there today and it’s a pretty exciting piece of sculpture. Kind of a mouse trap board game meets a crazy roller-coaster with rolling balls inside. It’s a little interactive and the kids were loving it.
