Brie:

It's a good idea for readers to register. Not only is it great for fostering the sense of community, it also weeds out:

1) anti-adrock2xander readers who pretend to be me ('Are you Indian?' is an example.)
2) anti-adrock2xander posts who flame and insult me but leave no traces of their particulars so they can hide behind their monitors and their tiny e-penises. This way no one can find out who they are. Of course, they do not realise the author of the posts have access to their emails.
3) all of the above.

Yeah, I think the point of registering is to help foster community. Or something. I dunno, I'm not such a huge fan of having to login to comment.

On the plus side, wow - maybe it's just because I've been using WP for ages - but it is so much better.

It sucks that all the pictures are missing (hopefully we can recover them), but imagine not having to do that huge long process for future pics. Hurrah!

hey one can make a login on one MB and its equally good for all metroblogs.

That's good at least :)

And I agree to the commercial point Darren said above.

Fast and fun. I'm all for the logging in to comment, but maybe us Canadians are less civilized than you.

Yeah, I hope it doesn't mean that we have to write like professionals now! The registering for comments is a bit crap, at least having the option would be nice. Hopefully, we will be integrating OPENID with the comments so at least you won't have to remember a single site login/pw.

On the positive side, posting comments is fast.

I frankly prefer the old system where you didn't have to register to make a post... Also, the new layout is a little bit super-clean and looks too commercial, it's lost the messed-up "Metroblogs" feel!
