Slippery Sliding Trams

Just having written this blog, I read on the news of another tram collision, this time, a tram running over a boy!

What is it about Melbourne Trams? They slip, slide, roll and altogether refuses to brake! Especially along St. Kilda road. In the past 5 months, I can recall up to 5 incidents, where one tram “slides” into another tram causing chaos. Do people think the braking system of the trams are faulty?

Or do people think the tram drivers are to blame? Attempting late braking strategies to see how late they can brake? Trying to be Grand Prix drivers but on trams, maybe?

Surely it is time for Yarra Trams to do something to reduce the number of collisions and accidents before someone gets killed.
