Good morning!

Cold and foggy

A 3 degree, foggy morning in Doncaster at 8.45AM last Thursday. It was so cold, even the breath coming out of my nose turned misty.

As it turned out, it was the coldest week of May in 27 years.

And we’re still several weeks away from winter. Eek! A precursor to Winter 2008?

We always seem to get a few extreme temp days that are out of season but I’m not sure if it means anything.
I hate to think how long it must take you to get to Doncaster every morning!

    Actually, not that long.

From the Sydenham line to the CBD takes 30 minutes, and bus 307 comes every 30 minutes along Lonsdale Street. It travels along the Eastern Freeway and arrives at my workplace in Doncaster Shoppingtown in 30 minutes. So all in all, just about an hour. Doncaster REALLY needs some other form of public transportation though. But that’s another topic for another day.
