I don’t get the whole New York theme that Myer’s boldly marketing to Melburnians these few weeks. Why yellow? When I first saw it, I couldn’t help but think JB Hi-Fi’s somehow associated with the whole branding thingo.

I think it might have to do with the Myer "Basement" thing. Their theme colours are yellow & black. =) That’s what it reminded me of and not JB!
Have you seen Mooks’ current season apparel? It’s got this entire New York theme to it. They even use the NY Giants logo on some of their hoodies (and I’m pretty sure they didn’t get permission to do so).
Mooks apparel isn’t too nice. Just my opinion. I prefer Kenji Urban’s stuff. But again, that’s just my opinion lol.
I kept thinking JB due to their ubiquitous yellow bags, the yellow signage, yellow etc.
