haz: Hi haz! Yeah this is a nice, peaceful blog alright. Fortunately the insults have been kept clean. I guess we all enjoy a good, harmless bit of competition!

Ahh you're back :O I see you had a whole weekend to think up something remotely sarcastic for me to read.

You lost me at Saturday night really. I mean, it's Saturday night. We spend our weekends doing things we enjoy. I see you enjoy going out? So be it. Rofl clicking on refresh button. Maybe that's what you do to get your rocks off, but unlike you, I have better things to do. Email alert tells me I've got a new mail in my inbox, so I check, read and reply. Besides, what I do on Saturday night is none of your business.

PS: Assuming you work, it must be lunch time for you? Spending half your lunch time concocting a four para reply must have been tough. It's a nice day today. Keep the flame mail coming. I enjoy trading insults with a rank amateur. Oh and eh, btw, any self-respecting Melburnian who enjoys a good journalistic read would never pay $1.xx for H.S drivel. But you already knew that. Afterall, you seem to know everything.

I'm starting to wonder if you know the definition of bigot, but I'll put it down to another one of those words you just love to throw around to make yourself look like an Oxford schollar. Perhaps I can invent some sort of drinking game that involves taking a shot every time you mention one of those terms in a blog post. I can see it now.. "Bigoted International Students fuck Westies while proving how racist they are". Hmm.. I'm obviously not as good at is as you are, perhaps you can teach a class in it?

I'm glad that you pointed out how bored I am, as I needed someone to inform me of this fact. Perhaps I can also point out how bored you are, given not one but two responses to my last comment? You also graced me with two responses to my second last comment as well - a man with a lot to say! The final kicker was a response at 1:45am on a Saturday morning. Please tell me you wern't tossing and turning in bed, thinking "oh how will I respond to that painful person!" There is so much to see in this wonderful city during the day or night (you could even bring a notepad, make some notes and write up a post about what you saw), yet you're at a computer monitor, clicking refresh, waiting to see if I respond. You're actually right - you are more than just a hack writer.

But I have some good news for you! With the Games now over, I have to get back to some real work. For you, this means I will no longer be dedicating the time to writing up responses to your posts, although I haven't been dedicating as much time to them as you have been evidently. So I will leave you with one final thought. I don't expect you to change your style of writing just because I am telling you to. In fact, if this was adrock2xander's blog I wouldn't of commented in the first place. Quite simply, the style of your writing and the content you write about reflects badly not just on yourself, but your fellow writers and the network. People who contribute good material (e.g. everyone who writes for MM, including yourself at selected times) are cancelled out by the garbage you churn out about your three favourite subjects (for those playing at home these are: international students, racism, and living in the West of Melbourne/being a "Westie" - a term that's more at home in Sydney as opposed to Melbourne). Stop scraping at the bottom of the barrel, find some new topics to write about and you might start seeing people reply *positively* to your posts. Hell, you might start seeing people reply to your posts in general.

Good luck with your writing career John. Given how it's been so far, I'm sure you will crack your goal and make it into the Sunday Herald-Sun's letters section with no problems. You might even do twice as well and the paper will give you your own column. It worked for Robyn Riley.

Just wana say how sad it is when a good post like this gets nothing but shit house comments from irate readers. Melbourne Metroblogs truly has reached its nadir. If that's how you readers want it, so be it. It won't stop me from volunteering my services for this wonderful blog though. Obviously people only want clean, fuss-free, one-tracked, pedestrian and boring 'The Best Of Melbourne' posts.

If I cared about what you readers thought about me, I'd have stopped before 2006. But guess what I'm still here! It's small-minded and bigoted readers like you who make this blog come alive.

Oh dang you truly care about me. I knew people liked my writing, but to time my response? Wow that's over the top! And to take time reading my profile while quoting me. LOL looks like I've got a fan :O

Clearly you have too much time on your hands to wring out constructive verbal abuse. I don't need to defend myself. My posts suggest I'm more than just a hack writer *winks*

Well do come back next time. I can't wait for the next installment of Bored Reader vs Booger-flicking Author.

It's hilarious to suggest that people like me have pigeon-holed you when leave yourself opened to be pigeon-holed via your posts. The truth is that I like reading this blog, however reading about your tails of "The boy who cried Racist" is dated, and watching you defend your incredible amount of swearing only proves that you're a hack writer with a limit vocabulary. A Melbourne version of Gothamist this blog ain't.

I have no doubt you will read this and go straight into defence mode (as you always do) and abuse me, even if "arguing and slagging someone on the Internet is silly." I'm sure you will also break your current record of eight minutes in responding to me, even if I'm the one with the "obsession" of reading and replying to your posts.

Thank you for the invite to join Melbourne Metblogs, but I have more than enough people reading my work every day (yourself included, as a previous post indicates).

Also, as an extra bonus, since you're so nice to me, here's what Metroblog is all about (from my 'faeces' p.o.v) :O

Melbourne Metroblog, along with all the other Metroblogs around the world, has always been a place for various Melbourne-based writers to share their perspectives on things that is going in, on, or around the city. It's a place for people who aren’t familiar with the city or those who're looking to learn more, to get a feel for the city and its people. Hell, it could even be to learn or feel a little more for the authors who write for the blog. :O

As it is, the posts are written from their perspective. Like I've said previously, if you don't like it, you don't have to read it. Or, if you think you can do a better job, join the team. I'll love to read your first post.

Therein, lies your greatest weakness :O You've already pigeon-holed me. Small-minded no? But it's kinda like fitting a square peg into a round hole. Try as you might, you'll only end up feeling frustrated.

I'm more than capable of writing interesting posts. It's sorry asses like you who inspire me to write more insipid ones. *winks*

Hey, if you don't care about the blog, don't read it then. Or comment on a good post adrock2xander has made:O

Oh wait...

Why are you attacking me? I'm not attacking you in the slightest - I was just pointing out how unusual it was for you to not fall on one of your four usual clutches. I mean, if 99% of your posts were like the one above you would actually be a constructive contribute to this blog as opposed to the walking stereotype that you are right now.

It's free to sign up to LiveJournal, Wordpress.com or Blogger. Filter your written faeces through there and keep putting up informative pieces like the original at MetBlogs. Perhaps then you might actually have some people signing up and commenting on said posts (you know, outside of the authors of this blog) for a change.
