Connex delays, now via Twitter

Use Twitter? Use Connex? You’ll like the Melbourne Transport Updates feed, via the Twitter user MelbTransport. Seems a bit like a duplication of the service that Connex themselves offer, but who says you like their SMSes - maybe you only want to be pinged via IM (like I do), and this is where Twitter comes in a lot handier.

You currently will find that its too long for an SMS (visit the site, its all truncated), so maybe the developers will decide to parse and truncate the feed to less than 160 characters at some stage soon?

Finally, a good use of Twitter. It’s pretty amazing how many trains are cancelled on a daily basis.

and yet, connex is within the 92% mark of providing a useful service… shocking

p/s: twitter is most useful for lots of other things!
