This weekend marks the ‘Family Round’ of footy, starting tonight Collingwood Vs Port at the Telstra Dome (Go Pies!) This match is now being screened live in Melbourne so if you’d prefer to stay in your jammies on the couch, you’re going to be spoiled!

Other games taking place in Melbourne this weekend are Richmond Vs Sydney at the G on Saturday afternoon, Essendon Vs Kangas at Telstra Dome on Saturday night and on Sunday, Western Bulldogs Vs St Kilda at the G and Geelong Vs Hawthorn at the Telstra Dome.

Anyone who is a member of their club, or attends the footy regularly, knows the ‘family feeling’ that happens with your fellow supporters. I know, being a Collingwood supporter, we basically grew up with the people around us in our seats at Victoria Park and it continues now, with those around me in the new Ponsford Stand at the G. Each week, we sit together, not really knowing each other, but as a family, following our team, shivering in the cold, and barracking for a goal.

So whether you sit on your own, or with your brothers, sisters, mum, dad, aunt, uncle, grandparents or fellow supporters, there is always a family feeling at the game - no matter what side you are barracking for.
