Filming in town.

Wandering around at lunchtime I note that there is some filming going on the city. They have constructed some sets in Lt Lonsdale between Queen and Elizabeth and have reserved big chunks of Queen outside the old Births, Deaths and Marriages Registry office. I think this is now some Law school campus. The set had a TV store next to a music store. The equipment for sale looked sourced from the 80’s as they looked to have VCRs for sale as well.

There was also a caterer serving in Elizabeth near the Block Arcade. Too far away to be the same set, but could be the same production.

Any ideas as to what it might be? Does that timeline match GhostRider? Will I see Nick Cage?

Its too hot to meander down to the city today … bloody hot! Imagine the camera crew with those heavy equipment, hope they have lots of liquids!

The area around Births, Deaths and Marriages is definitely Ghost Rider. They’ve had their temporary production base set up on Peel/William street all week.

A couple of other films start shooting around town in the next couple of weeks and there are a few TV series at the moment as well.

Has Ghost Rider moved its filming to the northern suburbs. There is a location next to the new Hume Freeway in Epping that has been lite up all week so far. Does anyone know if they are filming Ghost Rider there or is it something else?
